Led by our Catering Manager, Mrs Duthoit, Thinking Food offers a full range of sustainable, locally-sourced hot and cold options daily. Our menus are packed with a variety of affordable, nutritious and delicious meals and snacks, designed to fuel our students’ thinking and incorporate a range of flavours and cuisines.
Thinking Food operates across three serving stations across the College: The Canteen, The Hut and The Shack. Each station offers its own range of options, including ‘Light Bites’, ‘Grab ‘n’ Go’ snacks, and main meals. Students can purchase food at particular times during the day:
The canteen operates a cashless till system which is fully integrated with Arbor. This upgrade has given us a modern, reliable payment platform across the school.
What this means for your child:
No system errors or failed scans – everything runs on updated, reliable software.
Faster queues and smoother lunchtimes – more time to eat and socialise.
Secure payments – pupil accounts cannot be accessed by anyone else.
Trusted system – already used successfully in schools nationwide.
How it works:
When registered, your child’s fingerprint is converted into a set of encrypted data points. No image of the fingerprint is stored, and these data points cannot be used to recreate a fingerprint or matched with any other database. Money can be put onto a lunch account by using Arbor. Arbor can also be used to monitor what your child has been purchasing.
